in Russian province. The author is BBC journalist Tim Whewell. The shootings took
place in Pskov ( in the 76th Army
division), Lipeck (in the center of aviation) and Yaroslavl.

It was two-month work in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and Chelyabinsk where they filmed different
stories connected to cannibal cases. ( During the big Famine of the 30th,
during the war in Leningrad blockade and also some modern cases when people ate human flesh) In the small village near Chelyabinsk where the
local people remember the Famine of the 30th.
The film
was about collapse of Russian rouble in August 1998. They made all the film in
provincial town of Yaroslavl 250 kilometers from Moscow. The idea of the
film was to show, how common Russians manage to live in the conditions of
crises. They chose two young couples who had a wedding in some days just after
crises and followed them during 2 weeks
after the weddings.
